What is a skip or skip bin?  A skip or skip bin is an open design bin often used at construction and renovation sites. The skips are not emptied on site but are usually replaced by an emptied one, with the full bin taken to the tip or dumpsite. Our skip bins range from 2m - 8m, and are made of steel making them hard to break. Skips are often placed at the front of construction sites, which makes disposing of waste easy for tradesman and labourers. What items are not allowed to be placed in Cheapa Waste skip bins?  Liquid, food, car batteries and hazardous wastes are not permitted to be placed in Cheap Waste skip bins. Hazardous wastes include asbestos, poisons, paints, oils, gas bottles and toxic wastes. Where will Cheapa Waste place the skip?  Cheapa Waste will deliver the skip bin to nature strips or on request you may have your bin delivered to the inside of your property or elsewhere, all damage above and below ground is at your expense. All care but no liability is accepted. To what level can I fill the skip?  Skips can be filled up to the top rail, but there must not be any materials protruding over the top of the skip. Overloaded bins are dangerous and create Occupational Health and Safety concerns for Cheapa Waste employees and the general public. Do I need a permit?   If you are unable to put the bin onto your property check with your local council about the requirement of a permit. You are responsible if placed on public land. How long can we have the bin for?  Generally 7 days allows enough time to fill the bin. If you need the bin longer let us know at time of ordering so we can arrange longer time for you. If you finish with the bin earlier just call us and we will pick it up. . When will the bin be picked up?  Generally the bin will be picked up the next day after the day you notify us that the bin is ready.
